Filming and editing
videos has been my passion since I was eleven years old. To me filming is the art of creatively capturing
an event in the most spectacular way. It can be as simple as
maneuvering the camera at a certain angle to either exaggerate or soften a
scene. With each film, I have gradually improved on my techniques and each film gets better. However, filming is only part of what I do to create
my films, the next step is editing.
Editing takes place after
I've taken the shots and imported the video onto my computer. When a
scene needs music, I'll usually spend 15 to 30 minutes, just looking for
the right song. Sometimes the music fits around the edited clips, and
other times the clips needs to be edited to fit the music. Finding the
right song is key for me when I'm editing. Once I fit all the pieces
together, I watch it multiple times, and if I enjoy it I put the final
touches on it. If something catches my eye, like a scene that is not
cut enough, or I see something that I don't want the viewer to see, I'll
re-work it until it is acceptable.
Once the editing is done, I
distribute copies of the film. I take in all the feedback given so i can
better learn on improving my techniques for the next project at hand.
It is a learning experience, and it will always be one. I hope you enjoy
my work and if you do, please feel free to subscribe :)
